My makeup routine:)

Today I thought I’do a step by step makeup look! Beauty is a huge passion of mine, so I will try my best to make this tutorial enjoyable:) Today I’ll be creating a look that I wear often that uses warm/light tones, it’s perfect for an everyday style but if you don’t like to wear makeup that often this would be great for a date or a day out with friends!

Step 1– I start of with my eyebrows and eyes, this is so I can make any corrections with a makeup wipe without ruining my foundation. I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to eyebrows, so it takes me a lot of time and patience when shaping them. First I brush my eyebrows. I try to follow my natural shape with my pencil then fill in 3 quarters of my eyebrow leaving the front portion untouched. Then with some eyebrow powder, I gently fill in the front, I do this to give my eyebrows a more natural and gradient look. I then take my small, flat foundation brush and apply foundation around my eyebrows and on my eyelids, this makes your brows look bold and flawless. By putting foundation on your eyelids, your eyeshadow will go on smoother in the next step.

Step 2– To make the eyeshadow colours look more pigmented, use an eye primer. First I use a base eyeshadow that I put all over my eyelids, I’m using a pale pink shade so that my eyes look bigger. Next I take a light gold shade and put it in the crease of my eye and slightly above the crease from the inner corner to the centre of my eye. Then I take a dark brown shade and put it in the outer part of my eye’s crease and blend it upwards and towards the gold shade, I then apply the brown shade to the outer side of my eyelid and blend it into the middle with a blending brush. Now, eyeliner is no walk in the park, so just be slow and steady and remember, it’s only makeup. I start by taking my liquid eyeliner and making a small straight line from my water line pointing to the end of my eyebrow, this helps you to get the eyeliner equal on both sides. Then from almost the tip of the line I draw another line downwards making a triangular shape. Then I draw a thin line from the corner of my eye that gradually gets bigger and meet the triangle, I then fill it all in.

Step 3– Next I like to put some concealer on my spots and red marks and lightly blend iT in by dabbing it with my finger. I then usually would damp a beauty blender and apply my foundation but I couldn’t find my blender today:( so  I used my buffing foundation brush instead. I like to apply my foundation by moving the brush in circles because if you go over your pours twice in two different directions it hides them. Then on top I put a layer of powder, this gets rid of the greasy foundation feel and makes your makeup look smoother and last much longer!

Step 4– Now I apply my highlight and contour, I do this so that my face look more defined. First I take my highlighter and apply it from the apples of my cheeks up to the side of my eyebrow, then on the top of my nose, then in the centre of my forehead and finally on the bow of my lips, using a small brush. Then I suck in my cheeks and apply bronzer where my cheeks go inwards and also around the edge of my forehead and edge of my jaw, I do this in a circular motion to blend it out. Try to avoid putting toO much product on your brush it may go too dark!

Step 5– Now it’s back to the eyes:) I take my mascara and coat my lashes with one layer. Then I get out my false eyelashes and coat them with one layer of glue each, and after about 30 seconds I take one of them, apply another layer of glue and blow on them for about 10 seconds then place it carefully on my eye, I then repeat with the other. This can be quite fiddly I know… When that’s done, I put one coat of mascara on my bottom lashes.

Step 6– The last step is lips! Too make mine look bigger i line them with a darker colour then apply a lighter colour of lipstick all over my lips.

Down South!

Today I thought I’d talk about my trip to Cornwall, home of the pasty! It’s a beautiful place towards the bottom of the country filled with cute little sea-side towns. Wherever you go you’re surrounded by the countryside and you come away feeling detoxed. Me and my family would go there all the time when I was younger, and this year we stayed in a huge manor house in Polperro. The town was so tranquil and full of quirky independent shops and cafes, anywhere you visit in Cornwall is so picturess.

We went with my dad’s side of the family, which meant there was 29 of us all together, including 6 toddlers… Yes, it was tricky to cook for everyone and keep track of where everyone was going but I wouldn’t have it any other way, I love being around my family. Cornwall isn’t a place where you plan activities it’s more of a walk around and take everything in kind of holiday, which was perfect because we were so lucky with the weather, it hit 32 degrees while we were there!

I didn’t manage to take too many photos while we were there because you forget when you’re enjoying yourself so much. The manor we stayed in looked amazing from the outside and the grounds were huge and gorgeous, it even had a jacuzzi, the inside was kind of dated and needed and bit of renovating, but it is what I imagine a true cornish cottage would look like inside. My aunties cooked most of the meals while we were there, they make the best food, all homemade and delicious. But on the last night we just had fish and chips to avoid cleaning in the morning, I tried my first ever battered sausage, not the best thing I’ve ever ate…

Of course we visited St.Ives, and this may be an unpopular opinion but I think it’s overrated, nevertheless I went. The journey was awful. Me and my nan were sat in the back of my uncles campervan for 2 hours on the hottest day of the year. My mum and dad had to go home for my sister’s graduation so they couldn’t take us in the car. When we got there everyone wanted to go to the beach and I hate the beach and I hate being too hot so I sat in the shade until my nan suggested we should go for an ice-cream:)

The best day of the holiday had to be the first, we just strolled around Polperro and floated in and out of shops, I bought my mum a cup she liked and my dad a coaster, he loves fish.

The worst day had to be the one when I was ill, I mentioned it in my last post. It really ruined the day out and I felt so bad, I don’t like making a fuss.

Overall it was a great trip, I got to spend some time with my family and also relax and forget all of my worries for a week. I would really recommend Cornwall if you’re feeling stressed and want to get away from it all.

Round and feeling down..

For my age and size, I’m quite the chubby girl. And for someone who cares a lot about how they present themselves, it really upsets me. I eat all the rubbish the average teenager does but I seem to be 3 sizes bigger than everyone else. I know all it takes is to eat well and exercise but what can I eat, how often do I exorcise? I find it really hard to resist food, and I comfort eat a lot, which is such a bad habit, and it doesn’t help that my metabolism is awful. Every woman in my family is chubby, so maybe it’s in our genes. I’m so tired of being sad because I don’t fit into my old clothes, and I’m sick of having to wear jeans, a longsleeved shirt and a jacket everywhere I go to cover up my chunky body. Clearly I’m not healthy and I’m making bad decisions about what I eat. I just can’t seem to find the motivation to lose weight despite how bad I want to! I feel like my life it to heavily revolved around food. I’d really appreciate it if you would share with me any weight loss experiences you have had and how you managed it.

What doesn’t help is my stomach! I am convinced that I have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome, which other members of my family have) I won’t go into detail about the symptoms because I don’t want to gross you out but it means that I’m constantly bloated and that makes me look even bigger:( Tonight I am going to the doctors for the third time about my stomach because the last two times they have sent me away saying that there is nothing wrong with me, I know there is. I can’t enjoy anything without being in discomfort or in pain, it really gets me down and I think to myself, why bother trying to lose weight if i’m stIll going to be seriously bloated? Two weeks ago I had to go into A&E because my belly hurt that bad, it was a different kind of pain and a lot worse but was definitely connected. Maybe I’m intolerant to certain foods, whatever it is I’m going to get to the bottom of it…

Sorry, I’m just in a complaining sort of mood today.

Apart from this, tonight I plan to cook some tea for my family, jump into some pj’s and watch a film. There’s nothing i love more than a cosy night in:) I finished work a couple of hours so up until around 5 I’m probably going to have a go on the Wii Fit, it’s such a fun way to exorcise ! I highly recommend it. Please leave any suggestions on how to lose weight in the comments! I’d really appreciate it!

What should I do!?

So, I’ve just finished school and I’m waiting patiently for my exam results, which means I have lots of spare time because I only start college in a few weeks. I figured that I should get a hobby, and I came up with an idea to start streaming on Twitch! If you don’t know what Twitch is, it’s basically where you record yourself playing video games live (aka streaming) and people can come and watch and talk to you and each other about it. I’ve always had a passion for gaming and hope one day to become a game designer for a huge company:) I’d love to get into steaming right away but I don’t have the fancy computer or confidence to do so, I am going laptop shopping tonight so I could pick up a webcam while I’m there… Still streaming on Twitch could be so hard, especially now that I’ve got a job, it’s at TrustFord, the car dealership company, I so enjoy working there.

As I mentioned I’ll be starting college soon so I’d really appreciate any advice from someone who’s been to college about the do’s and dont’s. I’m really worried about it all, I hope I can make some new friends. I hated school (for the most part) I wonder if college will be better for me, there seems to be more freedom. The subjects I’m considering taking are Graphics, Government and Politics, Philosophy and Psychology, but I’m looking forwards to Graphics the most because I will get to focus on my game art there, yay:) I’m very artsy and considered taking Art many times (I still might), and I think the reason that I haven’t, this is gonna sound stupid considering I want to be a game designer, is because I think that I’m not that good at drawing… Maybe I should take it so I can get better at it? I don’t know, i’m just worried incase i’m awful at game art as I have had no real experience with it. I did take Art in high school and my teacher said  was capable of getting an A*, but we’ll see once  get my results back. I really liked my art teacher, she was young and edgy and we had the same sense of humor, so we really got on, I’ll miss a lot of my teachers, they become like your second parents.

So today is a perfect example of why I need a hobby, I woke up at half 9, got up watched some YouTube and then sat down to write this blog (which I’m really enjoying it’s like therapy) but after this I’ll be slobbing around until around 3 then get ready to go laptop shopping with my dad, then pick my mum up from work, and then I’m going to Nando’s for my friend’s birthday. Usually my day isn’t as full as this which is why I’d have plenty time for a hobby.

I’ve just remembered my mum told me to clean up mine and my sister old room, great:(
